ActivatePro integrates seamlessly with Optimizely Campaign to support both Real-Time and Audience campaigns. This guide walks you through setting up your mailings correctly to ensure smooth delivery and data mapping.

Create an Optimizely Campaign mailing for ActivatePro Real Time Campaigns
- Start a new campaign in the 'Transactional Mails' section.
- Make sure that you select the same recipient list in your Optimizely Campaign mailing as configured in the Optimizely Campaign integration settings for „Transactional list“ in ActivatePro.
- Your Optimizely Campaign mailing must be in "Activation required" status but not "Activated".
Create an Optimizely Campaign mailing for ActivatePro Audience Campaigns
- Start a new campaign in the 'Smart Campaigns' section.
- Make sure that you select the [CL] Master list when selecting the recipients.
- Your Optimizely Campaign mailing must be in "Activation required" status but not "Activated".
Create a new Campaign message
The message setup for both Real Time and Audience Campaigns are the same. For more information on setting up different types of campaigns, click here.
- Once you've created your campaign, go to the 'Messages' section and select the 'Create new message' button.
- Select 'Email' from the dropdown menu. The message setup screen will open.
- Under the 'Send via integration' heading, select the Optimizely Campaign account that you set up earlier.
- From the 'Mailing' dropdown, select which mailing you want to use for the email.
- Use ActivatePro's Value Mapping functionality to send data to fill any variables in your Optimizely Campaign mailing.
- Variable Name - The template variable on Optimizely Campaign that will receive the value. Note that the field types must match, for instance, a string value cannot be transferred to a number field.
- Decide whether to map a trait, a handlebar expression, or a static value to the Optimizely Campaign variable.
- Enter the desired attribute, value, or handlebar expression.
