Message and automation creation in Mail+
Message Creation

Templates migration
Create a new message with the template to be migrated.
- Get the HTML template from the current ESP and create the template in mail+. There is no automation for this and needs to be created and checked manually.
- The users can specify the sender, subject when creating a message with the template.
- Once the message is created, update the status to final.
Things to re-check:
- The template is correctly migrated to mail+
- All the variables are added as automation fields
Automation Creation

The automation should contain:
- An external trigger
- Message to be deployed
Publish the automation before using it in Activate Pro
- Create the Automation using the message previously created. The automations are listed in the Connect Mail+ integration in Activate Pro. The automation should contain a trigger block and an email block.
- Change the status of the automation to final and publish this automation to start using it.
Message setup in campaign/story
- Create a message using the configured Connect integration in a campaign/story.
- Choose the trigger (=the message in mail+)
- Optional: fill out the value mapping, if there are placeholder with additional information are used in the mail+
The options for the value mapping depend on the used placeholders in the specific template/message in mail+
- Activate the campaign/story
Product information
There are 2 ways in which product data can be populated in the email
Using the product block in the template
- Ensure the product list is updated in mail+. This can be done via Connect if there is a google or facebook shopping feed connected. If not, its possible to use the mail+ api to update the product list. MailPlus Interactive API Documentation
Using automation fields
- you can add the fields as automation fields and update the data with the product info available in Activate Pro.
